The Majority of my results stated that they were male. This needs to be considered when discussing colour schemes as a dominant female colour would be inappropriate. Thankfully the majority stated that they were interested in music magazines as this is important due to the project being a music magazine. VIBE and Q were the most popular music magazines therefore my music magazine will need to take some of the features in these magazines and include it in its own. The majority of respondents were between 14 and 19 which is important as the magazine will need to reach out to these people considering their phycological attitudes. The respondents read music magazines monthly and therefore i will need to ensure that my music magazine also caters for this duration of time.

For this task I had to annotate music magazines with good use of language and terminology, I have learnt about the various techniques used in promotional activities and how music magazines try and draw the viewer in.

In making this video i have learnt various techniques into effects and audio. i have learnt how to use imovie more effectively and understand the importance of time management. i have also understood the importance of text over images and how displaying text in different positions can make a movie more appealing to the viewer. i have also understood how different audio sounds create a different mood.

Evaluation of  The Castle School magazine

For the front cover of my magazine I used the programme pages. I also used Photoshop to edit the front cover photo. 

I believe the presentation of the front cover is displayed well and that the colours of the front cover match the house style of the Castle School. I also developed a further understanding of composition when analyzing other magazines which helped me to place the image in the appropriate place. There was also a lot of depth to my magazine which made it more interesting to look at. I believe there was not enough room for content as the image was too big however the image needed to be as big as it was due to the depth. I also believe other various colours could have been added to make the cover much more appealing. I could have also explained the titles in the bottom left hand side of the page as some are not so self-explanatory such as “revision action plan”. I have learnt different techniques used to make magazines more appealing and what is and was is not eye catching in terms of the viewer.
