Screen shot evidence

Screen shot evidence

as you can see i have used an image from one of my previous shoots to use as a header. I increased the brightness and contrast in order to make it more appealing to the user.

this image consists of a border as i believe it looks more professional. I used the inspector tool to rotate the image which gives the contents page a scrap book look to it.

Photo shoot

This photo shoot went as planned and i believe they will supply my music magazine with images to fill spaces. They are not direct dance genre specific however they will appeal to the audience as they will take an interest in the artwork due to relating to their interests.

Typography, Drop caps, sizes and colour experimentation

In terms of colours i will experiment with various vibrant colours to add atmosphere and make my text more interesting. I will ensure the text matches the ethos of being lively and full of energy. I believe the colour red and purple suits the criteria. I believe the font is appropriate as it is simple and easy to understand yet appeals to the young generation as it is not too old fashioned and detailed. I will probably not use the drops cap technique as it can look cheap if not done efficiently and old fashioned.

Location, Fashion and props planning

The three following images are the location to where i will be shooting, the first image is nelson street in Bristol where i will take various images of the vibrant and exciting artwork that would appeal to my readers. I will ensure the lighting is bright and includes different types of artwork to where i can select the best of images. I will not include figures or models as it will ruin the detailed artwork. There will be no fashion or props involved.

The second location is in my sixth form in the photography department, i will use the tungsten lighting to ensure the model (phoebe) is visible and has high levels of contrast. I will use the black canvas in order to maximise colours and facial expressions. i will ensure the model wears dance orientated clothing and shall add head phones to the model to add to the DJ look.

The final shoot will result in me heading into the venue Timbuk2 in Bristol and taking various images of the nightlife scene with individuals inside it. the sorts of images will be represented in the manner to which the example is. The majority of people wear similar clothing consisting of dance orientated clothes such as bright and distinguish colours.
in terms of props i will add headphones to the model in order to give the individual that sort of dance look about them. I do not feel i need to add any more props in order to portray this sort of genre.

Plan of layout

From doing this plan of layout i now know where certain images and aspects of text will be positioned. I have thought carefully about the composition and how text and images should be spread out. I will add colour and splashes of text throughout the magazine.
